We only popped in to the Bath House for a half whilst waiting for our table at the Smokehouse; it's a very central location with the likes of the Pint Shop just around the corner, so needless to say it was busy when we arrived and you have to keep an eye on potential tables!
We both went for a simple IPA on cask which was fine but always feels at odds when you've been drinking something 'fizzy' - it was only once we sat down that I spotted the keg list which included some more exciting options such as Brewdog's Punk IPA.
The pub has a nice atmosphere and I can see why it's popular; it's certainly somewhere I'd spend time if I still lived in the area. -

A queue at other restaurants nearby but not here and for good reason. Food pretty poor, hamburger inedible, fish in the fish n chips not much better. Failures. Quinoa salad tasty but could have used more fresh salad ingredients like tomatoes and cukes. A near miss. Nachos surprisingly good and we're Americans who like Mexican so are a bit discriminating. Portions generous, staff friendly, atmosphere ok.

Average pub - feels a lot like a chain pub. Very little soul and they are often short on chairs (not tables, just chairs). Customers seem to move around from table-to-table as servers were constantly trying to deliver food to our table (which we did not order). I watched as many customers would snatch a table only to then move to a larger table when it became available.
I wouldn't return. I can get this type of atmosphere in any chain pub. Head down the road to the Eagle Public House (aka The Eagle) for a better pub. -

We had a 'to share' meal which was little bits of everything. It was very nice and more intimate. Food was good.
I feel the interior could be made a bit mor cosy- it is comfortable but a bit spartan. -

I will always come into this pub when I visit the city as I liked the place. It's an old-fashioned pub with a nice interior in the heart of Cambridge right near the universities, the beer was nice at the average price, the service by the staff was warm & very good but the food menu lacks ideas and I feel the place could get busier, particularly at lunchtime if there was more variety on the menu.
I've visited the pub on several occasions and I've not been disapointed yet, so it's a good result!
